Art of Being Green Festival
July 2009 (annual event)
"Art of Being Green is a weekend festival held in the Village of Lanark, about an hour west of Ottawa. This festival showcases local, provincial and national efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, engages the public on renewable energy issues and explores the significance of adaptation in our everyday lives. It includes a large exhibit area, vendor trade show, workshops, interactive displays, children’s programs, entertainment, local food and more. Something for the whole family!"
Herbfest
July 2009 (annual event)
"Herbfest has been an Ottawa Valley tradition for twelve years and is a must-attend event for those interested in herbs, gardening, cooking and living a healthy lifestyle. It is organized through the tireless efforts of the volunteer members of the Ottawa Valley Herb Association."
Ottawa Ecostewardship Fair

"The mission of the Ottawa Eco-Stewardship Fair is to respond to the growing demand of Ottawa's citizens and institutions for comprehensive and accurate information about as well as efficient access to environmentally sound products, services and programs; and to support local innovation in this regard."
Ottawa Go Green Expo
March 21 & 22, 2009 - Lansdowne Park
"The two-day event, where people can shop green, learn green, eat green and live green, will feature over 250 exhibitors, free seminars and local celebrities who are making a difference in the world. Consumers will be immersed in green living with home and garden experts, organic cooking and food sampling, green fashion and style, recreation, eco-tourism, transportation, health and wellness, and so much more."

Home Place
Next meeting: Sept 30, 6:30 pm - Carlingwood Family Restaurant in the Carlingwood Shopping Centre
"Join Home Place in talking about the planet, living in community with each other and the larger community of the land, sun, air, water, plants and animals. "Home Place" comes from the late ecologist Stan Rowe's book of that name. Conversations about "Home Place" are about "ourselves in the world and the world around ourselves".
